   Wonderfully soft leather. Fit was grateful from the very beginning. I ordered multiple pair of shoes to find the best fit and style, these won by a landslide! I have high arches so will need to use custom orthotics. Unfortunately, the factory insoles do not come out but after wearing a few times the shoes have loosened up to the point I can now use my orthotics. Overall, I would definitely recommend these or any other shoes by this manufacturer.

   I ordered these for my husband who has a hard foot to fit (high arches) and he loves them! They were a bit tight in the top out of the box so I bought shoes trees to help and they have already stretched a bit after a couple wears. The shoe is very attractive and a great price for Johnson & Murphy. The slip on style is inbetween casual and dress, perfect for work with suits or a night out in the town in jeans. He tried on several pairs of similar shoes and these won! A great shoe, we highly recommend!

   This shoes not my first pair from johnston&Murphy I like the style always and material it’s reall y comfort shoes cuz I work standing on my feet 15 hours a day plus walking a lot too .

   Absolutely horrible. These shoes are tight on my feet, yet so stiff they refuse to flex with the natural footfall. I suspect this is more in the sole than in the leather. There is no relief for flexion. Ultimately, this causes rubbing on the back of the heel, even though the top of my feet hurt from the pressure of keeping the shoe in place.
   Further, these shoes squeak something fierce on laminate flooring. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to find a material which doesn’t leave you sliding across the floor at the first sign of liquid, but then not also not have you sound as if walking about in a rubber suit. Frankly I was embarrassed to move around the hallways at work while wearing these.
   To top it off, Zappos only allows returns of “unworn, original condition” items. Great. Money wasted. Lesson learned.

   Normally my kind of shoe, but something was weird about the shape of the sole. It curled up, such that I didn’t make ground contact between the ball of my foot and the toes. Did not keep.

   I’ve been buying and wearing J&M dress shoes for years. These are by far the least comfortable pair I have ever owned. The soles are thin and I feel like I’m wearing $20 dress shoes. I’m going to have to find an insert for the shoe.

   A nice looking dress shoe, however not very comfortable. The leather is very stiff at the top of the foot area such that when you step/walk it creases in one spot rather than evenly stretching. The shoes were quite large on my feet with the standard size I typically order. I did some research and figured out that the nominal size listed was using the UK standard so a size 12 was about 12.5 and a size 13 was about 13.5. I reordered a higher ranked and more expensive Johnston & Murphy pair of shoes and love them……all issues resolved. Don’t buy this particular model.

   These are very comfortable shoes and they look great with jeans, dress slacks or chinos. Shopping for them at Zappos made finding the right style and size easy – especially since there are no shoe stores open at the moment!

    Very stiff. Hope they loosen up over time. Exactly what I wanted for a dress shoe. Bought two pair. Happy with purchase.

    Fit was as expected. Nice looking shoe. We also ordered another style with this order and preferred the other style, so sent this pair back.
